Virtual Event Promotion

During Covid-19, the American Staffing Association was quick to pivot. They moved their popular Staffing World annual conference to the virtual space so staffing professionals could still connect, learn, and share.

To drive attendance to the online event, we developed Happy Staffy, a character inspired by the children’s book Flat Stanley. We knew people would appreciate something real and tangible with so many things going virtual.

We created a direct mail package to send to members and prospects that contained Happy Staffy and a sticker sheet to customize the character. People were encouraged to snap a selfie with their character and share it on social media. The results exceeded all expectations: 2000 people engaged with Happy Staffy and 1500 attended the event.
