Building Members

in an era that sells subscriptions

We're Rottman Creative.
The Membership People.

We help associations turn what they stand for into reasons people join and stay.

Gary Rottman started the firm after seeing the same problem again and again: associations doing meaningful work, serving real communities, and struggling to explain that value in a way that moved people.

That became the foundation for Rottman Creative.

For more than two decades, we have helped professional and trade associations turn what matters most about their organization into stronger stories, smarter campaigns, and more connected member experiences.

Because when the story gets lost, membership starts to feel transactional. Campaigns become lists of benefits. Renewal becomes a dues reminder. Onboarding becomes a login.

We help close that gap by uncovering what members care about, sharpening the story, and building strategy and creative around it.

We are a small team, which means the people shaping the strategy stay close to the people bringing it to life.

The goal has stayed the same since Gary started the firm: help people understand why belonging matters.

Membership is not
a subscription.
